A controversial celebration held at a public school in Ticapampa has sparked a formal investigation by regional education authorities in Ancash.

Residents of the small town of Ticapampa were shocked this week after videos surfaced on social media showing a private party taking place inside the Nuestra Señora del Pilar school. The footage, which quickly spread across local digital platforms, appeared to show several attendees in an apparent state of intoxication, raising serious questions about the use of public educational facilities for non-academic purposes.

The incident has caused a significant stir throughout the Ancash region. Public schools are intended to be safe, professional environments dedicated to the development of students. When these spaces are used for events involving alcohol, it undermines the trust that parents and the broader community place in local institutions. Regional education officials have now stepped in to determine how such an event was permitted and who authorized the use of the school grounds.

The Broader Impact on Our Community

For the people of Huaraz and surrounding areas, this story is about more than just one party; it is about the standards we set for our public infrastructure. This scandal highlights the importance of accountability. As investigations move forward, the community is waiting to see what disciplinary actions will be taken against those responsible. There is a strong feeling among locals that public institutions must be protected, and that those who manage them have a duty to ensure they remain places of learning and respect, rather than sites for social misconduct.
