A2📚 語彙⏱️ 読了時間:4分
Learning essential English weather vocabulary helps you describe the world around you and prepare for exams like A2 Key. You can easily talk about the sky, temperature, and conditions using simple phrases. For example, to say there is sun, you say It’s sunny. If water is falling from the sky, you can say It’s raining. We use adjectives like hot, cold, windy, 、および cloudy to describe the weather. To ask about the weather, use What’s the weather like? This vocabulary is very common in daily conversations and is key for understanding weather reports or travel plans. Mastering these words will make your English communication much clearer and more natural.

We often start sentences about the weather with It’s.

Then we add an adjective to describe the condition.

スペイン語話者がよく犯す間違い

Spanish speakers sometimes translate “hace sol” or “hace frío” directly.

  • 誤り: It makes sun. / It makes cold.
  • 正しい: It’s sunny. / It’s cold.

Remember to use It’s + adjective for general weather descriptions.

Also, don’t forget the “it” when talking about rain or snow:

  • 誤り: Is raining.
  • 正しい: It’s raining.

Why is weather vocabulary important for the A2 Key exam?

In the A2 Key (KET) exam, you might need to describe pictures, talk about daily life, or answer questions about your plans, which often include discussing the weather. For example, in Speaking Part 1, you might be asked What’s your favourite type of weather?

What does partly cloudy mean?

Partly cloudy means there are some clouds in the sky, but also some blue sky and sun. It’s not completely sunny, but not completely cloudy either.
