To say years in English, we usually split them into two pairs of numbers, like nineteen eighty-four for 1984. For years from 2000 to 2009, say two thousand and X, for example, two thousand and five. From 2010, you can say twenty X, like twenty twenty-three. For dates, we use ordinal numbers (like first, second, third) and prepositions. Use on for specific dates, such as on July 16th. Use in for months or years, like in Julyin 2024. Practice these simple rules to speak about time clearly.
